Ultrasonic Mist Maker Module Ordering and Customization FAQ

This FAQ covers the information normally needed when purchasing ultrasonic atomizing modules for OEM humidifiers, climate chambers, plant-growth equipment, industrial fogging systems and other integrated products. Providing the application details before quotation helps avoid testing the wrong output, voltage or accessory combination.

Can we order samples before production?

Yes. Sample testing is recommended before volume production, especially when the module will be installed in a new tank or enclosure. Test with the production water depth, fan, outlet, water source, controller and expected temperature range. An open-tank mist test confirms basic operation but does not prove final chamber performance.

How do we select the number of atomizing heads?

Start with the required mist output and application conditions. For a chamber or room, also provide its dimensions, starting and target RH, temperature, ventilation and time allowed to reach setpoint. Module head count alone cannot account for air exchange, door opening or moisture absorbed by the process.

PHIMAXX MS Series includes several capacities from single-head to multi-head modules. A recommendation can be prepared from the project information, but the final configuration should be validated in the customer’s equipment.

What can be supplied with a module?

PHIMAXX can quote the atomizing module with its matched power supply and optional water-level components. Replacement ceramic-disc kits are also available. Confirm whether each test unit needs its own power supply, float or water-level component, power cord and spare kit.

Can we use our own power supply?

The power supply must match the module’s nominal voltage, power demand and electrical characteristics. MS models may use 24 V, 36 V or 45 V depending on the selected configuration. Using an unsuitable driver can cause weak output, unstable operation or damage. Send the proposed power-supply specification for review before testing.

Can a humidity controller or PLC switch the module?

Yes, when the control circuit is designed correctly. The controller normally commands an appropriately rated relay, contactor or supported control input rather than carrying the atomizer load directly. Low-water protection, fan sequence and alarm behavior should be included in the OEM design.

Do you supply replacement ceramic discs?

Yes. Compatible replacement-disc kits can be supplied. Provide the complete module model because disc frequency, electrical characteristics, seal arrangement and housing must match; diameter alone is not sufficient.

After approximately how many operating hours should the ceramic discs be replaced?

Approximately 5,000 operating hours is a practical reference under clean-water conditions. Actual service life depends on water quality, scale, duty cycle, operating temperature and cleaning. Replace according to condition and measured output rather than hours alone.

Can products carry our company logo?

Logo and label customization can be reviewed according to product, quantity, artwork and marking method. State exactly where branding is required: atomizing module, matched power supply, humidifier cabinet, packaging, datasheet or manual. Artwork should normally be supplied in a clear vector or high-resolution format.

Can labels, cables or connectors be customized?

Some label, cable, connector and packaging requirements can be evaluated for OEM orders. Feasibility and minimum quantity depend on the requested change. Send drawings, photos or connector part numbers instead of relying only on a verbal description.

Can one quotation include several models?

Yes. Mixed-model samples are useful when a manufacturer is testing several chamber or equipment sizes. State the quantity of each model and whether every unit requires an individual power supply and spare kit. This also allows packing and shipping weight to be calculated correctly.

What water should be used?

Purified or RO water is preferred where mineral deposits, white dust or sensitive equipment are concerns. Clean tap water may be used in suitable applications, but hard water increases scale and maintenance. If the liquid is not water, compatibility testing is required before approval.

Are the modules suitable for continuous operation?

They can be used in continuous-duty systems when correct water level, water quality, cooling, electrical matching and maintenance are maintained. The equipment manufacturer should also verify tank temperature, ventilation and service access during a full-duration prototype test.

What documents are available?

Depending on the product and order, available documents can include product datasheets, manuals, photographs, packing information and applicable certification documents. If customs clearance or a technical file requires a specific document, confirm it before ordering rather than after shipment.

What should we send for a useful quotation?

  • Application and equipment type
  • Required mist output or chamber/room information
  • Preferred model and quantity, if already selected
  • Supply voltage, power cord and plug requirement
  • Water source, temperature range and daily duty cycle
  • Tank, fan, controller and water-level arrangement
  • Replacement-disc and other spare-part requirements
  • Logo, label, connector or packaging requirements
  • Delivery address with postal code, or nominated forwarder

For OEM projects, a tank drawing, chamber layout or photos of the existing humidity system are often more useful than a general description. Commercial details and technical recommendations can then be separated clearly in the quotation.

What should be checked when the samples arrive?

  1. Confirm the module model and matched power-supply voltage.
  2. Inspect connectors, cable and ceramic surfaces after transport.
  3. Install the module at its specified water depth.
  4. Test output with the intended water and fan arrangement.
  5. Check RH response, condensation and post-run behavior in the real equipment.
  6. Record any changes required before production approval.
