Why a New Ultrasonic Module May Produce Very Weak Mist After Setup
During a recent bench test, one ultrasonic atomizer module produced almost no visible mist after setup. At first glance, the module appeared defective.
However, after adding a small amount of weak acid solution into the water, the mist output recovered almost immediately.
What usually causes this
In situations like this, the issue is often related to the atomizing surface condition rather than the electronic structure of the module itself.
Mineral residue, oxidation, or unstable water quality can affect the ceramic atomizing surface. Once the surface condition changes, vibration efficiency drops significantly, and the mist output becomes weak — or stops completely.
Why water quality matters
Water quality has a direct effect on long-term atomization stability. This becomes more obvious in continuous-use humidification projects, especially when untreated tap water or high-mineral water is used.
For OEM projects, check water hardness, tank cleaning frequency, storage condition, operating hours, and maintenance intervals before judging the module itself.
